Effective Teaching Methodology


EVENT: Effective Teaching Methodology Workshop

DATE / DAY / TIME: 22nd August’2009, Saturday,

VENUE: IMCS Seminar Hall


PARTICIPANTS: IMCS and Maharashtra College faculties

MOTIVE: “Effective Teaching Methodology” to give new ideas on how teaching should be developed in creative way to enhance the quality of students’ performance.

PRE-EVENT ACTION: The meeting for event was held on 21st August’2009, at in Director’s cabin with all the management faculty members.


1] Welcoming the trainer:

Dr. Jyoti Gogte, Director of IMCS welcomed Prof. Rajan Ganpuley, Dr. C. R. Birajdar, Principal of Maharashtra College and all the faculty members.

2] Introduction of Prof. Rajan Ganpuley:

Prof. Rajen Ganpuley has completed his education from Delhi with the degree of M.B.A and L.L.B

He has total nineteen years of Corporate experience and has conducted more than 2500 training programs on National and International level in Government, Private organizations, Management schools, Colleges, Schools and social organizations.

He is a Director of “Focus Foundation” & a consultant of Kaizen Institute of Japan.

Recently he has been awarded with the “Dronacharya Award” for the year 2009 by the Institute of Japan.

3] Felicitation:

Dr. Charushila Birajdar felicitated Prof. Rajan Ganpuley him with a bouquet.

4] Proceedings:

Prof. Ganpuley started the workshop with a prayer followed with the most enchanting and powerful word

 : “Aum” / “OM”; which he explains as hearing, understanding and practice.

He believes that “Learning is endless process”, hence to come out of “Paradigm”, he advised to think out of the shell, think broader and wider.

Therefore he suggested few important things a teacher/lecturer/trainer should practice:

Flexibility, Patience, Help and guidance, Visualization, Counseling, Simplified solutions, Cooperative/ Developing attitude, Memory technique, Building strong base/ Foundation, Building the bridge between audience and themselves, Organizational skills, Awareness of Environment, Find the gap in Skill, Knowledge and Attitude, Desire to learn attitude, 3 conscious : Intellect, mind and body

He also explained Learning Management System consists of creating, maintaining and improving for which sources are: Knowledge, Quality, Application and Faculty Involvement (understanding, solving queries, coaching, guiding, facilitating, help them to perform better)

Prof. Ganpuley guided with the flow for an ideal workshop:

1) Facilitating 5 things: How, When, What, Why, Where

2) Process Effectiveness

3) Development Support System (Counseling, empathizing)

4) Process Flow

He emphasized more on building the main foundation with the strong pillars as below:

Total Flow Management (continuous process)

Total Knowledge Management (application, no limitations, and broad mindedness)

Total Quality Standardization (maintaining quality with the performance)

Total Application Management (applicability)

Towards the end of the workshop he introduced classroom activities for Brainstorming, Group Discussion and Presentation with respect to education, followed with Roleplay of College scenario.

Finally he showed a clipping of team work and stressed on the Team Spirit Attitude.

5] Vote of thanks:

Mrs. Neha Deshmukh concluded with Vote of thanks and on behalf of all the faculty members she committed to practice whatever was learnt in the workshop to be better teacher and bring out best from the students.




Teacher Day Celebration

PARTICIPANTS            :  IMCS and Maharashtra College faculties


1] Introduction of the Program:

Mrs. Neha Deshmukh started the program by welcoming all the attendants of the program. Further she gave significance of celebrating Teachers Day and importance of Teacher in a student’s life.

2] Lighting of the lamp:

The program proceeded with lighting of lamp by the Dignitaries of Dias in front of Saraswati idol.

3] Guru Vandana:

Mrs. Athawale presented Guru Vandana and explained the importance of Guru and Shishya in Sanskrit sholaka.

4] Speeches:

Moving ahead all the distinguished mentors gave inspirational speeches to all the faulty members and emphasized on the below points respectively:

Dr. Paithankar               : Importance of Research Attitude in a Teacher

Dr. Shrikhande              : Importance of grooming teacher in terms of upgrading latest technological knowledge in Globalization

Dr. Kolhe                      : With nostalgic feeling he shared his experiences of his Guru’s

Dr. Smt. Sardesai          : Importance of maintaining discipline in an organization

Dr. Smt. Gogte             : Importance of motivational program and she declared “Best Teacher Award”

Dr. Smt. Birajdar           : Importance of all the general skill sets a teacher should imbibe

5] Appreciation of colleagues:

Appreciation of colleagues was done by few selected Maharashtra college faculty members with the interesting game of “Rapid fire”, also furthermore Mr. More, Mr. Nimbalkar, Mrs. Gowardhan, and Mrs. Athawale appreciated their Guru’ respectively.

6] Performances:

·   Songs by Mrs. Sakhrikar, Mrs. Athawale, Mrs. Gowardhan, Mr. Shelke

·   One Act Play by Mrs. Aparajit

·   Dance by Mrs. Deshmukh

·   Puneri Patya by Mrs. Parchure

·   Philosophy in Dasbodh and Management by Mr. Marathe

7] Vote of thanks:

Mrs. Aditi Kale concluded with Vote of thanks to all the performers, attendants, faculties who took initiative of Rangoli designs and informed everyone to proceed for the refreshment.

8] Concluding Song

Inspirational song “Dyansagara” was sung by Mrs. Deepa Joshi, and Miss. Vidya Pathare.
